The regional and national winners of the dm honorary office award have been chosen..... and we are part of it: -)

There were more than 10,000 applicants, 411 applications in Berlin alone, from which the jury had to select the prize winners. The regional jury for Berlin consists of five local public figures:

  • Anna Veigel - German Commission for UNESCO
  • Wolfgang Büscher - Press Officer ARCHE Berlin
  • Thomas Sonnenburg - Dipl. Pädagoge, Educational Scientist and Coach
  • Anna Akarsu - Senior Sales Consultant Key Account Berliner Wochenblatt
  • Christiane von Roda - Regional Manager dm-drogerie markt

When I read the e-mail in the evening, I had to read it again to give the whole thing a little more reality. I gladly admit that I was moved to tears and also the rest of the evening had something slightly magical, but above all touching. For thousands of hours of time have been spent without any payment until now on the basis of what Your Little Planet! is today and will be in the future. Feedback from young people who receive very good marks in school on topics such as climate change or biodiversity with the help of our videos and information is an incredibly good response. It is just as beautiful when a public perception falls on the whole work behind the initiative. And the prize money will help to run the initiative in full time for a short period of time. Of course, financial support is still needed.

Thanks to the jury for the election. Personally, I find it very difficult to imagine the selection process. After all, everyone cares privately about the common good in one way or another, so that other people are better off. Unfortunately, not all of them could be awarded. The following other volunteers and initiatives have also made a name for themselves in the south of Berlin with Your Little Planet! and deserve the same recognition:

  • Pascal - He works as a volunteer at the station mission at the Zoological Garden and helps with dressing, food distribution, washing, individual care and employment of the homeless.
  • Stop Tempelhof-Schöneberg Berlin - Da sein für Menschen mit Demenz - As a team we organize 2x per month a support group for people with dementia and/or are individually in the visiting duty at home with you o. in cared for WG? s in the employment.
  • wellcome - Support of families and babies - Volunteers support families in the first year after the birth of a child and relieve the parents in their daily life.

Many, many other engagements that aren't laureates but are nevertheless a valuable contribution to society can be found on the HelferHerzen page and are waiting to be discovered by you.
